Day 39 - Minneapolis & A Twins Baseball Game

After a lovely morning visit and another quick run to Trader Joe’s and Target we spent the afternoon at a Minnesota Twins game. And to make it even more exciting they were playing the Toronto Blue Jays!

It was kids day and you can see the backpack the kids were gifted on Julian’s lap. We sat on the Blue Jays side of the stadium and were surprised by how many Jays fans were there. (I realize it looks like there was no one sitting in the Jays section but they were all below us in the better seats.)

We all enjoyed some stadium snacks - peanuts, nachos, soft pretzels and beer.

After a pretty boring start the Blue Jays won after a few thrilling final innings

Back at the house we got to see more relatives. It’s really nice to reconnect and catch up after long stretches between visits. This is my cousin Jane and her kids James and Afton

Sarah was giving samples of a new food find - date syrup

Poor Mary had covid and had to be distanced from the group

Afton was leaving for university in Hawaii the next day. Best of luck Afton!
