Day 28 - Oromocto Again
Oromocto is the one place in our whole itinerary we are visiting two times. This time, because of having covid, we stayed at a hotel instead of with my cousin. Unfortunately the elevator was broken and we were on the 4th floor! So we were a bit more strategic about what we brought up to the room. 😂
We made plans with Myra that we would pick up a picnic lunch and meet her and the kids at a splash park so we could have a distanced visit. Andrew had a work commitment and we weren’t able to see him this time around unfortunately.
The seafood counter at the grocery store was much more interesting than in Calgary. 🦞
We didn’t want to take any chances so we sat apart and wore masks
It was wonderful to see Myra and the kids again and to catch up on what they had been doing since we’d last seen them. I hope that we get to see them again before too long.
Some stretches of the trip have been pretty busy so it’s nice to occasionally have a quiet night in the hotel to veg and watch something as a family. We’ve been watching “Loot” on Apple+ with Maya Rudolph. It’s funny and sweet
A new kind of vending machine so Sam had to try it out
Tomorrow we are back on the road to Montreal. We’re all feeling mostly recovered from covid and being more than 5 days past a positive test it seems we are allowed to do things again (masked) so we are looking forward to doing some sightseeing.
Hey everyone! Tammy here, been following your amazing trip and glad you are on the mend since catching Covid. Thank you for your posts and sharing your adventures- so cool! Wishing you safe travels for the rest of the journey!
