Day 30 - Montreal

Our day in Montreal began by walking back to find the car and move it to a different daytime lot. (I told you the car took up a lot of our time in Montreal!)

Once the car was parked we took the metro to the Port.

It was fun travelling by metro as it was the kids’ first time on a subway and it was fun to give them some tips on how it all works.

We walked through historic Old Montreal on our way to the port area and passed by the Notre Dame Basilica. We wanted to look inside but there was a long line and pricy entry ticket so we kept it moving.

It was already pretty hot so we stopped for a cold bubble tea. The kids are wearing our cooling neckerchiefs. They have water absorbing beads inside that keep your neck cool and really help on hot days

We hadn’t planned on doing the Ferris wheel but once we were down there we thought it would be fun

An areal view of the Cirque Du Soleil tent. We will be going back later to catch a performance

We found a patio with distanced tables so we stopped for lunch

After lunch we went to the Montreal Science Centre. We got in with our Calgary Telus Spark passes. 💪🏻

When we returned from the science centre for a break I thought it would be smart to repark the car. Long story short we got it parked but we had very little room on either end. It seemed like a good idea at the time 🤦🏻‍♀️

After a break we headed back out to see Cirque du Soleil

We had a great time at the show. We were all mesmerized by the death defying acrobatic acts. It was a highlight for sure and a fun, different experience. It was a wonderful way to finish off a wonderful day in a really cool city.
