We started the day in Thunder Bay and toured around the marina by Lake Superior before getting on the road for the day.
We stopped at the Terry Fox Memorial just outside Thuder Bay. Terry Fox made it all the way from St. John's to just outside Thunder Bay on his Marathon of Hope.
We stopped at an Amethyst mine to search for amethyst. Sam was really looking forward to this as there are Amethyst in Minecraft. I guess the exisit in real life as well. We found some and cleaned them up to ride along with us.
I ran in to a former coworker in the parking lot of the mine. It is a small world when you can run in to someone you know at a random tourist attaction in Northern Ontario.
We stopped at Robins Donuts. Bridget and I both remember going here as kids. Not sure if these still exisit in Alberta. But they are all over the place in Northern Ontario,
Big Goose in Wawa
We were getting sick of the same old fast food places, so we stopped by this little snack shack in Wawa.
Finally made it to Sault Ste. Marie. This sign as great. Do you really want to drive any further? Nope!
