Day 14 - Moncton Watersides & Magnetic Hill by Bridget

The kids have all been working hard at making paper planes, decorating and improving their designs.

We had made plans to go to a local water park in Fredricton but Myra called ahead and they were fully booked. So we made the 1.5 hour trek to Moncton to the water park there. It was a beautiful day for it and the kids enjoyed the wave pool, water slides and lazy river.

The water park was in the same complex as the famous tourist attraction of “magnetic hill” an optical illusion where you drive to a certain spot, put your car in neutral and magically coast uphill backwards. As it is an optical illusion you are actually coast  downhill but it really does feel like you are coasting uphill. We enjoyed it so much we did it three times!

After swimming we enjoyed a nice fish and chip dinner  at a man made “warf” at the tourist complex. the weather was perfect and the ambiance so relaxing  it was the perfect end to the day

We really do have to thank Myra for all her hard work in researching and organizing our excursions, preparing us yummy meals and snacks and then being willing to do the 1.5 hour drive to the water park,  She is a consummate hostess and made our time in New Brunswick so wonderful! Thank you Myra!

  1. That water park looks like a lot of fun, especially on a hot day. (Shelley)
